Teaching
Karl Holl's theological development is shaped by Ferdinand Christian Baur's school of thought called " Tübingen School " . He published numerous studies on Martin Luther , which are still given fundamental importance to this day. Holl's contributions interpret the Lutheran understanding of religion and God as a " religion of conscience " and triggered a Luther renaissance . He put the so-called doctrine of justification back at the center of theology .
