Karl Konstantin Haberle
Karl Konstantin Haberle (born February 11, 1764 in Erfurt ; † May 31 / June 1, 1832 in Pest by robbery and murder ) was a German scientist and university professor. His author's abbreviation for botanists and mycologists is " Haberle ".
Life
Haberle studied philosophy and law at Hierana and the University of Mainz . He then initially worked as an educator, but after a few years continued his studies at the University of Erlangen and the Bergakademie Freiberg . In 1798 he became a member of the Berlin Society (Erlangen) . In 1805 he was awarded Dr. phil. PhD. After research activities in Jena , he went to Pest as a private scholar in 1813 . In 1817 he was appointed to the chair of botany at the University of Pest and in 1818, in addition to his professorship, he was appointed director of the botanical garden in the Stadtwäldchen . In 1823 he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD. Haberle worked not only in the field of botany, but also in the field of meteorology and mineralogy . He named the mineral aluminite . In Hungarian botany he introduced the systematics of plants. The Hungarian biologist Imre Friváldszky von Friváld was one of his academic students .
