Karl Nut
Karl-Wilhelm Nuss (born August 26, 1926 in Leipzig ; † October 6, 2013 ) was a German Marxist philosopher . He was Professor of Scientific Communism at the Karl Marx University in Leipzig .
Life
From 1933 Nuss attended the elementary school in Leipzig-Gohlis and the Friedrich-List-Gymnasium in his hometown. In 1944 he was first called up for the Reich Labor Service and finally for military service in a naval grenadier division of the Wehrmacht . On May 7, 1945, he arrived in a forest near Bad Wilsnack in Soviet captivity , he from 1947 after attending an anti-fascist school returned.
In 1948 Nuss became head of department for schools and universities within the FDJ district committee in Leipzig. In the following year he moved to the state of Brandenburg as secretary for the organization of the FDJ state board. In the state elections on October 15, 1950 , he was elected as a functionary of the FDJ in the state parliament of Brandenburg , to which he belonged during the second electoral period until the dissolution of the states on July 15, 1952. From 1950 to 1952 he acted as chairman of the FDJ state management in Brandenburg (successor to Oskar Fischer ). Subsequently he was first secretary of the FDJ district leadership in Potsdam until 1953 .
As an external student, he studied the history of the German labor movement from 1953 to 1955 at the Potsdam University of Education . He completed his studies in 1955 with the state examination for high school teachers in history. At the same time, he was employed as a research assistant at the Institute for Scientific Socialism at the Potsdam University of Education. From 1955 to 1959 he was district chairman of the Society for Sport and Technology in Potsdam and from 1959 to 1978 research assistant at the German Institute for Military History , later the Military History Institute of the GDR , in Potsdam . During this time he was editor-in-chief of the magazine for military history from 1962 to 1978 . He received his doctorate in 1963 from the Martin Luther University in Halle on the subject of the role of the Reichswehr generals in the military rearmament of Germany in the Weimar Republic . His PhD B to Dr. phil. sc. on the Reichswehr. Regarding its role and development as a military power instrument of German imperialism during the years of the Weimar Republic , he graduated from Friedrich Schiller University in Jena in 1972 . After obtaining his teaching qualification , he was appointed full professor for scientific communism at the Karl Marx University in Leipzig in 1978. He retained the professorship until all institutes for Marxism-Leninism were dissolved in 1990.
Nuss died at the age of 87.
