Karl Weber (forester)

Karl Weber (born January 14, 1864 in Neumühle near Rodheim (Hungen) ; † July 22, 1929 in Schotten ) was a Hessian forester and politician ( HBB ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Land estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Karl Weber was the son of master miller Johann Jost Weber and his wife Katharina Elisabeth, nee Kraft. Weber, who was of Protestant faith, married Dröscher, born Dröscher, on November 26, 1890 in Schotten Ida. He studied forest sciences from 1883 to 1886 at the University of Gießen and completed his studies with a doctorate. In 1897 he became head forester in Konradsdorf, where he became forester in 1906. In 1919 he became state forest master there and retired in 1929.

From 1905 to 1918 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Upper Hesse 11 / Laubach-Schotten .
