Karl Schoenfeld

Karl (von) Schoenfeld (born August 14, 1868 in Trier , † May 3, 1951 in Münster ) was a Prussian civil servant and MP ( NLP ).

Life

Schoenfeld was the son of a senior postmaster in Wiesbaden from the Meißen original noble family Schönfeld . He largely renounced the nobility predicate "von", but carried it again from 1930. He attended high school in Wiesbaden and graduated from high school in 1887. He then studied law in Munich, Leipzig, Berlin and Marburg from 1887 to 1890. In 1890 he passed the first state examination and in 1896 the second. In 1896 he was awarded a Dr. jur. PhD. From 1890 to 1891 he had done his military service with the Füselierregiment von Gersdorf .

From 1896 to 1897 he was a government assessor at the Trier government, from 1897 to 1903 he was a government assessor and unskilled worker at the government in Frankfurt (Oder). In March 1903 he became a senior administrator in the Hechingen district office . From 1906 to 1916 he was a member of the municipal parliament of the Hohenzollern Lands and from 1910 to 1918 a member of the state committee. From 1916 he was also the chief magistrate in the Oberamt Haigerloch .

From 1918 to 1925 he was district administrator in the Grevenbroich district . In 1924 he was appointed a councilor and transferred to the Münster government because of his close ties to the Belgian occupation authorities in the Rhine-Ruhr battle. From 1925 to 1933 he was senior councilor in the Münster government. In 1933 he was retired for reasons of age.
