Karsten Binder

Karsten Binder is a German radio journalist . He is program manager of Bremen Zwei and the Bremen part of Cosmo at Radio Bremen .

Karsten Binder studied political science at the University of Bremen and is a graduate of the German School of Journalism in Munich.

Binder joined Radio Bremen at the end of 1987. He worked for the various radio broadcasts of Radio Bremen ( Bremen Vier , Bremen Eins , Bremen 2 ) as a reporter, editor and presenter. In 2001 he was involved in setting up the Northwest Radio. From the start of the broadcast, he worked as an editor, presenter and chief of service (CvD) in the 'Word' program area. In 2014 he took over the lead for the development of Bremen Next , which was initially operated as a purely online offer with a cross-media focus for 15 to 25 year olds.

In 2006 Karsten Binder became head of the Radio Bremen editorial team at Funkhaus Europa (since January 1, 2017 Cosmo ), the Bremen production part of the joint program with WDR and RBB . At the beginning of March 2016 he became head of the Northwest Radio program. Since 2016, the Nordwestradio has not been operated as a joint production with NDR , but is broadcast under the sole responsibility of Radio Bremen. Under his leadership, the Nordwestradio renamed itself to Bremen Zwei in August 2017. Binder succeeded Jörg-Dieter Kogel.

Karsten Binder was a member of the Luchs jury from 2010 to 2014 . The lynx is the children's and youth book award from Radio Bremen and ZEIT . He has been a member of the jury "The Colorful Key - Bremen Diversity Prize" since 2010.
