Life

Kasimirs. II. Parents were Wenzel I and his wife Maria Kopczowska († after 1468), who came from Sewerien . In 1482 he married Machna († 1508), a daughter of the Jägerndorfer Duke Nikolaus V. The marriage had the only son Boleslaus / Bolko, who was born in 1489 and died around 1494.

After the death of their father in 1465, Casimir II and his younger brothers Wenceslaus II , John V and Wladislaus inherited the Duchy of Zator, which they initially administered together. In 1474 they divided it into two parts, the border of which was the Skawa . Casimir II and the second-born Wenceslas II received the eastern part, while the younger brothers Johann V and Wladislaus were assigned the western part. The town of Zator , which lies off the Skawa, and the castle there were also divided.

After Wenceslas II died in 1484/87, Casimir II was the sole owner of the partial duchy east of the Skawa. During the inheritance disputes over Sohrau during the reign of the (counter) king Matthias Corvinus , it belonged temporarily to Casimir II.

After his childless death in 1490, according to an agreement of 1477, the third-born brother Johann V succeeded him as heir of the area east of the Skawa.
