Keith Andrews (born June 19, 1920 in Denver , † May 15, 1957 in Indianapolis ) was an American racing driver .

Career

Keith Andrews started on May 30, 1955 from 28th grid position in his first 500 miles from Indianapolis , which were then still part of the Formula 1 World Championship . In the 56th round the AAA National Series star Bill Vukovich had a fatal accident. Keith Andrews could not finish the race either: retired after 120 laps with ignition damage. A year later Andrews came back to Indianapolis, but fell again, this time after a spin in the 94th lap.

Keith Andrews had a fatal accident at the age of 36 on the qualifying weekend for the Indianapolis 500 in 1957.
