Kelemér is located in northern Hungary , 40 kilometers northwest of the Miskolc county seat . Neighboring communities are Alsószuha 5 km, Gömörszőlős 2 km and Serényfalva 8 km. The nearest town, Putnok, is 9 km from Kelemér.
