Ken Kuusk (born January 16, 1992 in Tallinn ) is a former Estonian ice hockey player who was last under contract with the Hungarian club Újpesti TE in the MOL league until 2014 .

Career

Ken Kuusk began his career as a hockey player with Purikad Tallinn , for whom he made his debut in the Meistriliiga at the age of 15 . In addition to the games for his home club, he was in the highest Estonian league for the Estonian U20 national ice hockey team , the Eesti Noortekoondis, on the ice. In 2008 he moved to Germany, where he played for SC Riessersee in the German junior league and Augsburg EV in the youth Bundesliga. After a year in the U18 of Jokerit from Helsinki , he moved back to the German junior league and played there for EV Füssen . Then he went back to the Panthers from his hometown Tallinn, where he spent the 2011/12 season. But even there he only stayed one season. He finally came to Budapest in 2013 via the second team of the Odense Bulldogs , where he ended his career at Újpesti TE in the MOL league .

International

For Estonia , Kuusk took part in the junior division at the U18 World Championships in Division II in 2007 , 2008 , 2009 and 2010 and in the U20 World Championships in Division II in 2008 , 2010 , 2011 and 2012 , when he was not only voted the best defender of the tournament, but also had the best plus / minus balance and also participated in Division I in 2009 .

In the senior division, Kuusk played for his Baltic homeland at the World Championships in Division II in 2012 , when he achieved the best plus / minus balance of the tournament, and in 2014 and Division I in 2013 .
