Ken Manage is the first demo tape of German synth pop - duo Wolfsheim .

Creation and artwork

All pieces in the demo were written and produced by the two Wolfsheim members Peter Heppner and Markus Reinhardt . The album was not released under any music label , it is an in-house production. The recordings of this demo cassette took place in 1987 and 1988. On the black and white cover of the demo - in addition to the artist name and album title - you can see a comic representation of two people standing on top of each other.

Publication and promotion

The first publication of Ken Manage occurred in Germany in 1988. The demo is only available as a music cassette. The album consists of six studio and two live recordings. A single release did not take place.

All lyrics are in English. The music was written by Markus Reinhardt and the lyrics by Peter Heppner. Musically, the songs move in the realm of dark waves and synth pop . The demo consists of three studio and one live recording on each side of the music cassette. The song Lovemission is included in both the studio and a live version. The piece Paradoxical Triumph is included here as a live recording, a studio version was never released. The song Can Manage was re-recorded four years later for the debut album No Happy View under the title … Can Manage… - in collaboration with the Fetish Park singer Marlon Shy.
