Musically, the song moves in the realm of synth pop and drum and bass . The song is built up on four stanzas and a refrain in between and at the end of the song. While the first stanza still consists of eight lines, the rest of the time only consist of four lines. The tempo is 155 beats per minute .

The content is about a person who longs for closeness and tenderness again. The person would like to spend nights together again with their life partner and not separately - callously - linger the night next to their partner.

"You leave it up to me,
to sleep somehow.
The anger that I feel,
must leave somehow. "

- Refrain, original excerpt

“You leave it to me to
somehow be able to sleep.
The anger I feel
has to go away somehow. "

- Refrain, translation

reception

Michael Schuh from the German-language online magazine laut.de said that Sleep Somehow could be seen as a kind of “experiment”, as drum'n'bass bonds have not yet found a place in the “Wolfsheim cosmos”.

To date, the song has not been able to place in any official charts and exact sales figures are not known.
