Kerstin Decker

Kerstin Decker (born November 22, 1962 in Leipzig ) is a German journalist and writer.

Life

Decker completed an apprenticeship as a saleswoman after leaving school. She later studied journalism at the University of Leipzig and at the Humboldt University in Berlin a . a. Philosophy. In 1994 she completed this course with a dissertation . Then she got a job with the newspaper Der Tagesspiegel . Later she was also a columnist and critic for the taz .

In addition to her journalistic work, a literary work emerged over time. Decker supported u. a. the actress Angelica Domröse on her autobiography , and with her husband Gunnar Decker she published a volume of essays .

She is a member of the PEN Center Germany .
