Keskin is a municipality and a district in the Kırıkkale Province in the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey . The place is about 20 kilometers south of the provincial capital Kırıkkale .

The district is in the east of the province. It borders on the Çelebi district to the south, Karakeçili , Bahşılı , the central district and Balışeyh to the west, Delice to the north and the Kırşehir province to the east . The D-765 trunk road runs through the city and the district, coming from İnebolu on the Black Sea to Kırşehir in the south. In the west, the border follows the Kızılırmak River with several reservoirs. Keskin is located on the western slope of the Dinek Dağı mountain range .

The largest district in terms of area in Kırıkkale Province already existed when the Turkish Republic was founded. Besides the district town ( Merkez ) (with 56 percent of the district population) there are 55 villages, none of which have more than 1,000 inhabitants. Köprüköy has 650 inhabitants, the average village population is 143 inhabitants.
