The Dersekow Church is a 13th century Gothic church building in Dersekow ( Western Pomerania ).

architecture

The field stone hall with its north sacristy was built in the second half of the 13th century. Around 1860 the building was restored under Gustav EB Müller from Greifswald ; The iron window tracery , the furnishings, the choir extension and the vestibule in the south come from this restoration , and the sacristy was also renewed. The sloping wooden tower from the 17th century was renewed in 2003/2004.

Two -lane plaster panels with angled lintels exist on the east gable . In 1983 the staggered east gables of both choir additions were removed.

Interior

The ribbed vault with tendril painting dates from the 15th century and was added in 1938. The church houses a neo-Gothic wooden interior with trim and tracery from around 1865.

altar

The altar from the mid-19th century consists of a wood-clad block. The altar enclosure has openwork tracery.

pulpit

The wooden pulpit dates from 1865 and has a pointed arch architecture in the substructure . Figure reliefs created by Gerhard Becker are incorporated into the parapet areas .

Baptismal font

The bowl of the baptismal font was made of Gotland limestone in the second half of the 13th century, the shaft and base date from 1956.

Mehmel organ

The organ was made in 1861 by Friedrich Albert Mehmel from Stralsund .

Carillon

The ringing consists of two bells . The older one was cast in the Scheunemann workshop (Demmin) in 1869 . The newer bell is from 2003 when the tower was renewed.

Personalities

The systematist Erdmann Schott was pastor of the Dersekow parish from 1929 to 1953.

organization

The parish of Dersekow has belonged to the Demmin provost in the Pomeranian Evangelical Church District of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany since 2012 . Before that she belonged to the Greifswald parish of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church .
