Kirk John Broadfoot (born August 8, 1984 in Irvine ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with FC Kilmarnock .

Career

Kirk Broadfoot's first club was St. Mirren FC . In five years he made 154 league games and scored 13 goals. In December 2004 he was sentenced to one year probation, 200 hours of social work, and £ 750 in compensation. This was preceded by an attack by Broadfoot at an amateur game in Drongan . In his final season at St. Mirren in 2006/07 he was captain, replacing Kevin McGowne in this position. In 2007 he moved to Glasgow Rangers on a free transfer. On July 31, 2007, Broadfoot made his debut for Rangers in the UEFA Champions League qualifier against FK Zeta . He played his first league game in a 7-2 win against FC Falkirk . In that game he also scored his first goal for his new club. With the Glasgow Rangers Broadfoot won the Scottish League Cup in 2007/08 . He also played in the 2008 UEFA Cup final but lost 2-0 to Zenit Saint Petersburg .
