Career
society
Mulumbu was trained in the youth talent factory of Paris Saint-Germain before he was accepted into the professional squad of the Ligue 1 team in the summer of 2006 . Mulumbu made his debut in France's top division on matchday 10 of the current season. In the 0-0 win against AJ Auxerre , the midfielder was replaced in the 89th minute by David Hellebuyck . Mulumbu was used eleven times in the league. He was mostly in the starting line-up for the Parisians. In the group stage of the UEFA Cup on November 23, 2006, the then young star gave his international premiere game in a 2-4 defeat against Hapoel Tel Aviv .
To give him more match practice, the midfielder was loaned to the French second division SC Amiens for the 2007/08 season. There he was used regularly and scored his first professional goal. After his return to the capital city club, Mulumbu failed to assert himself. With players like Jérémy Clement , Clément Chantôme and Claude Makélélé , the competition was too great and Mulumbu only came to one use in the first half of the 2008/09 season. In early 2009 he was awarded to the Premier League promoted West Bromwich Albion , who committed Mulumbu for the 2009/10 season. In 2015 he moved to Norwich City .
On August 31, 2018, he signed a two-year contract with Celtic Glasgow .
National team
Mulumbu played in France's youth national teams . With the U-20 he was able to win the 2007 Toulon tournament. Nevertheless, he decided against France and accepted an invitation from the national team of the DR Congo . Mulumbu made his debut for the DR Congo on March 26, 2008 against the selection of Algeria .
