Eamonn Brophy (born March 10, 1996 in Bellshill ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with FC Kilmarnock .

Career

society

Born in the Glasgow suburb of Bellshill, Brophy first played in the Celtic youth academy . In July 2011 he moved to Hibernian Edinburgh within the U-17 age group . After only six months with the Hibs, he switched to Hamilton Academical . In July 2012 he received his first professional contract with the Accies. For the then second division team , he made his professional debut on April 9, 2013 against Airdrie United . In the 5-0 success he scored the goal to the final score after his substitution for Stevie May . Until January 2014 he played for the club a total of eight times in the second division, before being loaned out to FC Queen's Park from March to May 2014 . For the Scottish fourth division side he scored seven goals in nine games including a brace against FC East Stirlingshire . In the meantime, Hamilton was promoted to the Scottish Premiership. There he played 16 games in the 2014/15 season . From September to December 2015 he was loaned to FC Dumbarton . In 10 games he met once against FC Livingston . After returning to the Accies, he scored his first goal in the Scottish Premier League in January 2016 when he scored in an 8-1 loss to Celtic. In August 2017 Brophy moved to FC Kilmarnock .

National team

Eamonn Brophy played four times for the Scottish U-19s between 2014 and 2015 . On November 9, 2016, he made his U-21 debut against Slovakia . It was only used again in this age group in 2018. In 2019 he made his debut in the senior team against Cyprus .
