Kirjat Motzkin ( Hebrew קריית מוצקין, Arabic كريات موتسكين) is a city ​​in Israel named after Leo Motzkin . It is located between Haifa and Akko and, together with a few other cities, forms the HaKrajot metropolitan area .

history

Kirjat Motzkin was founded in 1934. The place received a train station on the main line to Israel in 1937 . It received city ​​administration status in 1976.

On August 12, 2001, 15 people were injured in a suicide attempt with a bomb on the restaurant "Wall Street".

The city had 42,014 inhabitants in 2018.
