Klaus Elsner

Klaus Elsner (born March 15, 1928 in Friedenshütte ; † December 17, 2012 in Berlin ) was a German professional educator and functionary of the GDR block party DBD . He was a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR .

Life

Elsner, the son of an engineer, attended high school and graduated from high school. From 1945 to 1948 he completed an apprenticeship as a skilled agricultural worker. He then worked as an agricultural assistant in VEG Steinbrücken , Gera district, until 1949 . In 1949/1950 Elsner qualified as an agricultural vocational school teacher in Schleusingen . From 1950 to 1961 he worked at various agricultural vocational schools in Thuringia and at the Pedagogical District Cabinet in Gera . From 1952 to 1956 he was a correspondence student at the agricultural college in Weimar , then from 1956 to 1961 at the universities of Leipzig and Jena . He graduated as a qualified farmer. From 1961 to 1964 Elsner took a scientific traineeship at the German Central Pedagogical Institute (DPZI) in Berlin . From 1964 he worked as a research assistant and head of the research department at the Central Institute for Vocational Training of the GDR in Berlin. In 1965 he graduated as Dr. paed. , In 1973 he defended his doctorate B for Dr. sc. paed. In 1980 he became an honorary professor at the Technical University of Karl-Marx-Stadt .

In 1947 Elsner joined the FDJ and the FDGB . In 1949 he became a member of the DBD. From 1954 to 1961 he acted as chairman of the local branch Kahla of the DBD. From 1967 to 1980 he was chairman of the district board of Berlin-Pankow , from 1982 as a member of the district board of DBD. From 1967 to 1990 Elsner was a member of the People's Chamber. From 1969 he was a member of the National Council of the National Front and from 1976 Vice President of the GDR-Japan Friendship Society.
