Klaus Stichweh (* 1936 in Hanover ) is a German philosopher and musicologist , author and editor and researcher on philosophy and aesthetics in France . He lives and works primarily in Paris .

Life

Klaus Stichweh was born in Hanover in 1936 as the son of the Stichweh entrepreneur and art patron Wilhelm Stichweh . Under the influence of his father, who brought Bauhaus architecture to Hanover and became involved in the Kestner Society , Klaus Stichweh studied philosophy - especially under Hans-Georg Gadamer - and musicology in three different countries.

In 1980, Klaus Stichweh organized the first solo exhibition in the Kurpfälzisches Museum in Heidelberg on the draftsman Johann Sebastian Bach , a grandson of the composer of the same name.
