Kleinenbreden is a district of the city of Marienmünster in the district of Höxter , North Rhine-Westphalia . 116 inhabitants live in Kleinenbreden today. Kleinenbreden lies in a valley basin, from which an old church path leads directly to the Marienmünster Abbey .

School children go to primary and secondary school in Vörden . The secondary schools and high schools that can be reached are in Brakel , Höxter or Steinheim .

history

Kleinenbreden, like Großenbreden and Papenhöfen , originated from a place that was called Wenden around 1430 , but was referred to as Wynithun in the registers of Corvey Monastery in 980 . Here monks from Marienmünster had acquired tithes . In the 16th century the area was divided into the villages of Großenbreden, Kleinenbreden and Papenhöfen, which are now all districts of the city of Marienmünster.

Kleinenbreden was merged with the other twelve municipalities of the Vörden district to form the town of Marienmünster with the law on the reorganization of the Höxter district of December 2, 1969 on January 1, 1970 .
