Komló small area

The small area Komló ( Hungarian Komlói kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Baranya County in southern Transdanubia until the end of 2012 . As part of the administrative reform at the beginning of 2013, all localities were completely transferred to the Komló district ( Komlói járás in Hungarian ). The municipality of Oroszló from the Sásd small area completed the new district.

37,473 inhabitants (end of 2012) lived in an area of ​​314.60 km². With 119 inhabitants per square kilometer, it was the small area with the second highest population density (after Pécs) in the county. Administrative seat was the only city Komló (24.066 Ew.).
