Nyírbátor small area
The small area Nyírbátor ( Hungarian Nyírbátori kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the south of the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county in the Northern Great Plain until the end of 2012 . It bordered Romania to the east . In the course of the administrative reform at the beginning of 2013, all 20 localities were taken over into the subsequent Nyírbátor district (in Hungarian Nyírbátori járás ).
At the end of 2012, 43,557 people lived in an area of 695.94 km². The population density of the second largest small area was about 63 inhabitants / km², a third below the county average.
The administrative seat was in the city of Nyírbátor (12.399 Ew.). Nyírlugos (2.824 Ew.) And Máriapócs (2.155 Ew.) Also had city rights. Nyírbéltek and Nyírbogát had as large municipalities (Hungarian nagyközség ) around 3,000 inhabitants. This and the other 15 localities had an average of 1,540 inhabitants (each 32.28 km² area).
