Tiszavasvári small area
The small area Tiszavasvári ( Hungarian Tiszavasvári kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the west of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county in the Northern Great Plain until the end of 2012 . For the 2013 administrative reform, the small area gave 4 of its 10 localities (with 8,055 inhabitants) to the eastern neighboring district of Nyíregyháza (Hungarian Nyíregyháza járás ).
At the end of 2012, 35,361 inhabitants lived in an area of 479.00 km². The population density was 74 below that of the county.
The administrative seat was in the city of Tiszavasvári (12.964 Ew.). Tiszalök (5,485 Ew.) And Rakamaz (4,512 Ew.) Also had city rights. Tiszadob , the only large community ( Nagyközség in Hungarian ) had 2,929 inhabitants. This and the remaining 7 rural communities (villages, in Hungarian Község ) had an average population of 1,771 (on an area of 35.59 km²).
