Clone! (English title: Thud! ) is a fantasy novel by Terry Pratchett . It is the thirty-fourth Discworld novel. Clone! was published in 2005 and was nominated for the Locus Award - best fantasy novel - in 2006. The action takes place in Ankh-Morpork and the Koom Valley. Clone! is one of the city watch stories and this time Commander Mumm has to solve five brutal murders of dwarfs - against the resistance of the dwarf community. He has to deal with a wide variety of problems, including: ethnic conflicts , extremism , demagogy , fundamentalism , tradition , art , drugs and PDAs .

The battle in the Koom valley , between dwarves and trolls, is a legendary, historical event - for both sides. Klonk , a board game in which 32 dwarfs compete against 8 trolls, is the symbolic reminder of the Koom Valley Battle on a cardboard square, but by no means the only one.
