geography

course

The cloister stream rises as a bow stream below a Keltenschanze in the district of Dischingen , in Baden-Württemberg. It initially flows in an easterly direction, bends south and flows around the former hunting lodge Duttenstein . Passing Demmingen , the Bogenbach reaches the Free State of Bavaria. At Bergheim he picks up the monastery pond ditch from the red fountain and changes to the east. Now it bears the name Klosterbach . This passes the places Mörslingen , Deisenhofen and flows through the core city Höchstädt on the Danube . There he crosses under the B 16 , picks up the powder stream and flows through the perennial pond. There the Klosterbach approaches the Danube up to 70 m, but curves northwards towards Blindheim . It flows around the Apfelwörth nature reserve and receives its last tributary, the Nebelbach. The Klosterbach then runs parallel to the Danube for about 3.5 kilometers and only flows into it below the Schwenningen barrage .
