Over the centuries the place name has changed several times. Until 1750 it was called "Connesdorp", from 1750 "Costroff", around 1830 "Coisdorff" and from December 6, 1935 the place was called "Koisdorf". After the First World War , American occupation troops were temporarily housed in Koisdorf. It was incorporated into Sinzig on June 7, 1969.
