Konrad IV von Schöneck , often also Cuno von Schöneck († June 25, 1329 ) was Bishop of Worms .

Live and act

Konrad was the son of Heinrich von Schöneck and his wife Elisabeth, as well as the nephew of Simon von Schöneck and Emmerich von Schöneck , two bishops of Worms , whom he succeeded. He came from the family of the gentlemen von Schöneck from the Hunsrück.

Konrad von Schöneck served as cathedral curator of Worms from at least 1310 . In 1318 he was mentioned again in this capacity and also as provost of the St. Walpurgis foundation in Weilburg .

After a short term of office of the predecessor Heinrich III. von Daun , he was elected Bishop of Worms on August 11, 1319, by compromissum . The papal confirmation took place on October 16th of that year, on October 30th the new High Shepherd made his solemn entry into Worms. On the feast of Kathedra Petri in 1321, Konrad von Schöneck was ordained bishop.

The chief shepherd is said to promote science and piety. In his diocese of Worms , he founded the celebration of Corpus Christi in 1320 . He ruled his diocese for 20 years and died on June 25, 1329.
