Björkliden is a small ski resort in the Swedish municipality of Kiruna with important winter sports facilities .

The population is 20 people. Every year Björkliden is visited by several thousand tourists. The place is west of Abisko on the Swedish ore railway and has a train station. The distance to Kiruna is around 100 km and to Narvik in Norway around 75 km.

Björkliden has the northernmost golf course in Sweden, and in winter five lifts take visitors to the 23 downhill slopes. From here there are many hiking trails into the nearby fells , for example to the highest mountain hut in Sweden, about ten kilometers away, Låktatjåkkastugan on Låktatjåkka , which is 1228 meters above sea level. If the visibility is good, there is a view over Lake Torneträsk and the mountains Tjuonatjåkka ( 1554  m above sea level ) and Nissuntjårro ( 1738  m above sea level ).

In the vicinity of Björkliden there is the even smaller settlement Kopparåsen , at the station of which no passenger trains stop. The highest snow depth of 327 cm was measured here on February 28, 1926.
