Keinovuopio is a settlement in the Swedish municipality of Kiruna in Norrbotten County , right on the border with Finland . The settlement is located on the Könkämäälven , 90 km northwest of Karesuando .

Keinovuopio has no access road in Sweden and can therefore only be reached from the Finnish side via a suspension bridge, or alternatively in winter directly over the icy river. The E8 east of the river connects the area with Karesuando. There are two rental huts in the village, and there used to be a reindeer slaughterhouse here. The northernmost settlement in Sweden, Kummavuopio, is located a few kilometers northwest of Keinovuopio. The next Finnish village is Kilpisjärvi , 23 kilometers further north on the E8. The Norwegian town of Skibotn is also located 43 kilometers north of Keinovuopio.

Keinovuopio is the northernmost place in Sweden that is permanently inhabited. According to the Swedish credit reporting agency Ratsit, six people lived there in March 2018.
