Korba ( Hindi कोर्बा, Korbā) is an Indian city with around 363,000 inhabitants (2011 census). It is the capital of the Korba district in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh . Power generation, coal mining and aluminum smelting make Korba a center of heavy industry.
Korba lies at latitude 22.35 ° north, longitude 82.68 ° east at an average altitude of 252 m above sea level. NN. It lies at the confluence of the Hasdeo and Ahiran rivers . The city is one of the largest electricity producers in India.
