The nearby village of Mistiz was first mentioned in a document from 1227, with which Duke Barnim I of Pomerania and his mother gave this village, together with twelve other villages, to the newly founded Marienbusch monastery. Mistiz later fell wildly.

The village of Kratzig itself was first mentioned in 1298 when Hermann von Gleichen , Bishop of Cammin, granted the church patronage to the Cistercian convent in Köslin . At that time the place name Crasnich was written.

In Ludwig Wilhelm Brüggemann's detailed description of the current state of the Royal Prussian Duchy of Western and Western Pomerania (1784), Cratzig is described as a knight's seat , i.e. the residence of a noble squire, and an old fiefdom of the Kameke family . The village had a total of 30 households ("fire places"), including a preacher, a sexton, a jug, five farmers and five kossaths. Furthermore, there was the Neuenfelde Vorwerk on the Feldmark .

In 1939 Kratzig had 416 inhabitants. Before 1945 the municipality of Kratzig belonged to the district of Köslin in the Prussian province of Pomerania .

Towards the end of the Second World War, the Red Army occupied the region in the spring of 1945 . Soon afterwards, Kratzig was placed under Polish administration by the Soviet Union , along with all of Western Pomerania . The immigration of Polish civilians in the village began. The village received the Polish place name Kraśnik Koszaliński . As far as they had not fled, the Alteinwohner Kratzigs were in the period that followed sold .

Since 1945, the village of Gmina Biesiekierz in the powiat Koszaliński in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship (until 1998 Koszalin Voivodeship ) has been assigned. In 2008 the village had 372 inhabitants.
