The Krebsbach is a creek about two kilometers long in the eastern Hintertaunus in the district of Butzbach in the Hessian Wetteraukreis , which flows from the right into the Etzbach when coming from the west .

geography

course

The Krebsbach rises at an altitude of about 366  m above sea level. NHN dem Weinborn in a mixed forest north of the Butzbach district of Maibach and east of the Mühlkopf ( 383  m above sea level ).

The stream initially flows in a south-easterly direction and after about 100 meters leaves the forest into the open corridor. He then moves through a wet meadow in the hallway Im Weinborn . A little further downstream there is a small pond on the left. Shortly afterwards it is fed on the same side by a 600 meter long brook coming from the north. The Krebsbach now runs in a strip of green bordering mixed forest in the north and farmland in the south, through the Ober dem Pfuhl corridor about three hundred meters east of Maibach, then crosses under the district road K 15 ( Münsterer Strasse ) and then moves south-southeast through the hallway in Molkenborn . It is strengthened there by an influx from the spring of the same name.

The Krebsbach then flows south of the Dillenberg corridor eastwards in a narrow meadow trough that borders fields on both sides, passes two small ponds on the right and left of the bank and finally flows out at an altitude of about 289  m above sea level. NHN from the right and west into the Etzbach coming from the north , which it clearly exceeds here in terms of length and catchment area and which then continues to flow roughly in the direction of the Krebsbach.
