The Nagykálló district (Hungarian Nagykállói járás ) is a district in the south of the north-east Hungarian Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County . It borders on Nyíregyháza County to the west and north and Nyírbátor County to the east . In between in the northeast it has a small border of about four kilometers with the district of Baktalórántháza . Finally, in the south, the Nyíradony , Debrecen and Hajdúhadház counties from Hajdú-Bihar county border on Nagykálló county.

history

The district emerged from the Hungarian administrative reform at the beginning of 2013 with 8 out of 9 municipalities of its predecessor, the small area of the same name (Hungarian Nagykállói kistérség ). The town of Újfehértó became part of Nyíregyháza County .
