Kreuth (Upper Palatinate: "Kreith") is a municipality part of the Bavarian market Eslarn in the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab in the administrative district of Upper Palatinate . The hamlet is dominated by agriculture.

Kreuth is about 1.9 km east and 1.4 km south of Eslarn center.

Location

On 12 October 2005 at the sawmill Schmidt in Kreuth (TK 6441, NO 68-31, Fl.Nr. 1180), during excavations a Silexabschlag from Jurassic chert excavated. The piece was chopped off from a tuber and has not been retouched. The cut may come from the late Paleolithic (after Schönweiß), but it could also be Mesolithic . The size is 2.6 × 5.3 cm.

Population development

On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Kreuth was listed as part of the Eslarn parish with 15 houses and 94 inhabitants. On December 31, 1990, Kreuth had 55 inhabitants and belonged to the parish of Eslarn.
