Kristin Pudenz (born February 9, 1993 in Herford , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German athlete who specializes in discus throwing.

Athletic career

In her U18 time Kristin Pudenz also competed in the shot put , then concentrated on the discus throw. She reaches the top places in national and international competitions and often only has to admit defeat to her German colleagues.

In 2015 she was in Tallinn with 59.94 m U23 European champion .

In 2017 Pudenz reached the 2nd place with the team at the European Winter Throwing Cup in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and finished 6th in the individual. In mid-July she was nominated by the Allgemeine Deutsche Hochschulsportverband (adh) for the Summer Universiade in Taipei , where she won the title with a width of 59.09 m.

In 2018, Pudenz came first with the team at the European Winter Throwing Cup in Leiria, to which they contributed by finishing fourth in the individual. At the German Championships in Berlin, she came in 6th place with a season best of 61.11 m.

In 2019 she became German champion with a personal best of 64.37 m .

In 2020, Pudenz reached 4th place in the indoor season at the ISTAF Indoor in Berlin with 58.98 m. The start of the outdoor season was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic . In the first athletics competition in Germany during the corona crisis, Pudenz came up to her record with 63.96 m in Neubrandenburg, up to 41 cm. In a performance test in Potsdam on June 19, Pudenz climbed to 64.92 m and at the throwing meeting in Schönebeck she increased her personal best by 66 cm to 65.58 m.

Pudenz has been part of the perspective squad of the German Athletics Association (DLV) since the competitive sports reform and was previously in the B squad .

Club affiliations

Pudenz has been working for SC Potsdam since 2009/2010 and was previously on TV Löhne-Bahnhof / LG Bünde-Ahle / Löhne .
