Kristin Schulz (* 1975 in Jena ) is a German German philologist , translator and author .

After graduating from high school in 1994, Kristin Schulz studied modern German literature , theater studies / cultural communication and French at the Humboldt University in Berlin . During this time, she completed semesters abroad at the University of Paris VIII and the University of Illinois at Chicago . While studying, she began to write poetry and prose. The first individual publications appeared in the magazines Moosbrand , Edit and Theater der Zeit . In 2000 she was awarded the Rheinsberg Authors' Forum .

In 2002 she became a research associate at the Institute for German Literature at Humboldt University. She works for the Heiner Müller edition of the Suhrkamp Verlag . In 2008 she graduated with a thesis on Heiner Müller for Dr. phil. and since then has been working at the Heiner Müller Archive / Transit Room at the Institute for German Literature. For the MÜLLER MP3 edition . Sound documents 1972–1995 , which make interviews, conversations and readings of Heiner Müller's own and other texts available audibly, Kristin Schulz received the German Audio Book Prize 2012 in the category “Best Information”.

As a translator, she translated works by Claudine Galea , Christophe Huysman , Jean Genet and Philippe Malone into German.

Kristin Schulz lives and works in Berlin .
