Krisztián Nagy ( Hungarian Nagy Krisztián ; born July 28, 1994 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian ice hockey player who has been under contract with MAC Budapest in the MOL league since 2015 .

Career

Krisztián Nagy began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of the MAC Nepstadion Budapest in his native city. As a 15-year-old he moved to local rivals Újpesti TE , for whom he was also on the ice in the junior division. In 2010 he went to Finland for two years, where he played in the youth teams of TuTo Hockey and Kalevan Pallo . After playing for the Miskolci Jegesmedvék JSE in the MOL League in the 2012/13 season , he went to the United States for a year, where he played for the Minot Minotauros in the North American Hockey League and the El Paso Rhinos in the Western State Hockey League , which he won with his team. He then returned to Miskolc and was able to win the triple of the MOL League, the Hungarian National Championship and the National Cup with the Eisbären in 2015 . Despite these successes, he left the team from Northern Hungary and returned to his home club in the capital. He also plays in the MOL league with MAC Budapest. After winning the Hungarian Cup with MAC in 2017, he was able to win both the MOL league and the Hungarian championship with the club in 2018.

International

For Hungary , Nagy took part in the junior division at the U18 World Championships in 2011 and 2012 in Division I and the U20 World Championships in 2013 , when he was voted the best player on his team, and in 2014 in Division II.

In the senior division, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , 2017 and 2018 . After promotion in 2015, he played in the top division of the 2016 World Cup . He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 .
