Krzekotów [ kʃɛˈkɔtuf ] ( German Groß Vorwerk ) is a village in the Polish Lower Silesian Voivodeship , which belongs to the rural community of Głogów (Glogau) in the powiat Głogowski (district of Glogau) .

location

The place is located almost seven kilometers northeast of Głogów (Glogau) near the border with the Lubusz Voivodeship . Surrounding villages are Gola (Guhlau) and Zamysłów (Hinzendorf) in the northeast, Wilków (Wilkau) in the east, Klucze (Klautsch) and Stare Serby (Lerchenberg) in the south, Serby (Zerbau) in the southwest, Krzekotówek (Klein Vorwerk) in the west as well Głogówko (Glogischdorf) in the northwest.

Two streets lead from Krzekotów to Droga krajowa 12 (Głogów - Leszno ) south of the village .

history

Krzekotów was first mentioned in 1263 as Crecotowo . After the First Silesian War , Krzekotów came to the Kingdom of Prussia in 1742 . There the place was from 1816 to 1945 in the district of Glogau in the administrative district of Liegnitz .

The German name of the place is Groß Vorwerk . After the border was drawn in the period after the Second World War , the place came to the People's Republic of Poland as Krzekotów . Between 1975 and 1998 the place belonged to the Legnica Voivodeship . After its dissolution as a result of a territorial reform, the place came to the Lower Silesian Voivodeship . In 1999 Krzekotów became part of the Gmina Głogów in the Powiat Głogowski . Mayor of Krzekotów is Andrzej Trznadel. Stanisław Wardecki represents the place in the Gmina Głogów municipal council.
