Krzemlin ( German  Kremlin ) is a place in the urban and rural municipality Gmina Pyrzyce in the Powiat Pyrzycki , West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . It is located in the Neumark about 8 kilometers south of Pyrzyce (German Pyritz ) and 44 kilometers southeast of Stettin (Polish Szczecin ). In the years 1975-1998 the place belonged to the Szczecin Voivodeship and was then transferred to the West Pomeranian Voivodeship as part of the administrative reform.

Before 1945 Krzemlin was part of Germany , today it is about 35 km from the German-Polish border.

history

In the 17th century the Kremlin estate belonged to the von Belling family. At the beginning of the 20th century, the very fertile land, on which wheat and beets were grown, among other things, was owned by the von Sydow family .

Before the Second World War , Kremlin belonged to the Soldin district in the province of Brandenburg and had two districts: Karolinsburg ( Derczewko in Polish ) and Mathildenhof ( Krzenlinek ). The municipality of Kremlin had 374 inhabitants in 1933 and 416 inhabitants in 1939.

Location and sights

Krzemlin is only 1.5 kilometers west of Droga krajowa 3 or European route 65 and a railway line that runs through the place Mielęcin (German Mellentin ).

In and around the village there are several small ponds and lakes as well as smaller forests. A large part of the area is used for agriculture.

In Kremlin there is a Catholic church dedicated to St. Adalbert of Prague ( Wojciech in Polish ) and an old manor house. The church was destroyed in 1945 and rebuilt between 1988 and 1991.

On June 5, 2008, an e-learning center with 16 computers and high-speed Internet access was opened in Krzemlin , which was co-financed by the European Social Fund as part of the Centra kształcenia na odległość na wsiach project .

There is also a so-called “Motopark”, a quad track , on the edge of the village .
