Kurt G. Blüchel
Kurt G. Blüchel (* 1934 in Heinersreuth near Bayreuth ) is a German author and journalist .
Life
In 1962 Blüchel began his more than 15 years of journalistic activity for medical and scientific magazines, including a medical magazine, of which he was editor-in-chief. During this time he was also the press spokesman for a medical association and a pharmaceutical company.
From the 1970s onwards he wrote over 27 socially critical and alarming publications that dealt with the topics of bionics , endangered wildlife, animal experiments , hunting , German forests and the relationship between people and the environment and medicine. Other, often very elaborately designed volumes were edited by Blüchel in collaboration with experts such as Heinz Sielmann , Horst Stern or Hans Joachim Fröhlich . Many of these books became bestsellers. Blüchel was editor of the magazines outside and nature for many years .
In 2005 Blüchel was awarded the Corine , the international literature prize of the Association of Bavarian Publishers and Bookshops, for his book Bionics . In March 2006 a new illustrated book was published with the title Fascination Bionics , for which Kurt G. Blüchel received the 2007 Medal of Honor from the International Council for the Conservation of Game and Hunting (French: Conseil International de la Chasse (CIC) ). This illustrated book was the companion book for the ARD television program The Great Show of Natural Wonders .
In his book “Der Klimaschwindel” from 2007 , Blüchel denies that there is a greenhouse effect . Arno Orzessek reviewed the Deutschlandfunk Kultur that the book “reveals at any time that Kurt G. Blüchel himself is not a climate authority. The thin annotation apparatus reveals that he often does not receive research, but newspaper and magazine articles by partisans. ”The theses put forward in the book are clearly rejected by climate researchers .
