Kurt Moeschter
Kurt Moeschter , also Kurt Möschter , (born March 28, 1903 , † June 26, 1959 ) was a German rower who became Olympic champion in two without a helmsman in 1928 .
Kurt Moeschter rowed for the Berlin rowing club Hellas . At the German rowing championships in Schwerin in 1927, he won the title in a pair without together with Bruno Müller . In the four without a helmsman , the two took third place together with Kurt Hielscher and Albert Lange. The following year, the Hellas Berlin teams won the championship title in both boat classes at the German Championship in Hanover. At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 , Moeschter and Müller only started in two without a helmsman. In four rounds, the Germans competed against an opposing boat; they defeated the boats from France, the Netherlands, the United States and in the final the British boat and won gold in front of the British and the Americans. In 1929 Moeschter and Müller rowed their third championship title in two-man without.
Kurt Moeschter was a commercial employee. After the Second World War he worked as a rowing trainer in Hamburg.
