Kurzschwarza is a village and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Schrems in the Gmünd district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 34 building areas with 18,569 m² and 30 gardens on 8,426 m² in the cadastral community of Kurzschwarza, in 1989/1990 there were 36 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 118 and in 2009/2010 there were 55 buildings on 114 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 211 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 112 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 202 hectares and 116 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 195 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 120 hectares. The average soil climate of Kurzschwarza is 23.6 (as of 2010).
