Kiensaß is a locality and, as Kiensass, a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Schrems in the Gmünd district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 30 building areas with 10,601 m² and 17 gardens on 5,154 m² in the cadastral community of Kiensass, in 1989/1990 there were also 30 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 82 and in 2009/2010 there were 37 buildings on 84 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 133 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 490 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 100 hectares and 523 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 90 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 520 hectares. The average soil climate of Kiensass is 17 (as of 2010).
