Langegg is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Schrems in the Gmünd district in Lower Austria .

history

Langegg was in the Litschau rule from 1688 to 1788 and then came (again) to the Heidenreichstein rule.

Settlement development

In 1751 Langegg counted 28 subordinate houses.

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 108 building areas with 38,096 m² and 57 gardens on 27,699 m² in the cadastral municipality of Langegg, in 1989/1990 there were 115 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 416 and in 2009/2010 there were 188 buildings on 435 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 334 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 121 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000, 279 hectares of agriculture were carried out and 160 hectares were designated as forest areas. At the end of 2018, 246 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 173 hectares. Langegg's average soil climate is 16.5 (as of 2010).
