Kyle Mack (born July 6, 1997 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American snowboarder . He starts in the freestyle disciplines.

Career

Mack has been participating in the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour since 2006 . In March 2010, Junior Jam won his first victory on the halfpipe at the Burton US Open 2010. In the 2010/11 season he took third and first place in slopestyle competitions in the Middle Earth Series. This was followed by more podium finishes at the Burton Am Series that season. In February 2012, he came third in the slopestyle and first on the halfpipe at the Burton European Junior Open in Laax . He drove his first FIS World Cup race in August 2012 in Cardrona , which he finished in 22nd place on the halfpipe. In January 2013 he took second place on the halfpipe and in the big air competition at the O'Neill Evolution in Davos . That same month he won Big Air at the US Grand Prix in Park City . He finished the 2012/13 season in third place in the World Snowboard Tour overall ranking. At the beginning of the 2013/14 season he achieved second place in slopestyle at the Burton High Fives in Cardrona and second place in big air at Vienna Fridge in Vienna . At The Shred Show in Whistler , he came second in Big Air and first in Slopestyle. In September 2014 he won in slopestyle at Stylewars in Falls Creek . At the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg , he won bronze in slopestyle and big air competition. In April 2015, he finished second in slopestyle at The Shred Show in Blackcomb .

At the beginning of the 2015/16 season, Mack took seventh place at the Air & Style in Beijing . At the Winter X Games 2016 in Aspen he was also seventh in the Big Air. In February 2016 he finished 20th at Air & Style in Innsbruck and second in Los Angeles and won the X Games Oslo 2016 in Oslo 15th place in Big Air. The following month he won slopestyle at the Burton US Open in Vail . At the Snowboard World Championships 2016 in Yabuli , he won the silver medal in Big Air. He also achieved 22nd place in Slopestyle. In the 2016/17 season he won the slopestyle at the US Revolution Tour in Waterville Valley and finished second in the slopestyle at the US Grand Prix and World Cup in Mammoth . At the Winter X-Games 2017 he was eighth in slopestyle and sixth in big air. After finishing third in big air at the World Cup in Milan at the beginning of the 2017/18 season, he won the slopestyle at the US Grand Prix in Mammoth and finished with the Winter-X-Games 2018 in Slopestyle and in Big Air at the X-Games Norway 2018 in Fornebu in seventh place. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he won the silver medal in Big Air. In slopestyle, he came in 23rd there.
