The council of the Free and Hanseatic City of Lübeck as cabinet in the years 1846 and 1847 , before the revolutionary year 1848 , with terms of office and the professional corporations of its members. The subsequent Lübeck Senate in 1848 marked the change from the medieval and early modern council constitution, laid down in the citizens' recession of 1669, to the senate constitution of the 19th century, which, with modifications, lasted until the end of the First World War.
