Lütjenheide is a district of the city of Wittenberge in the Prignitz district in Brandenburg .

geography

The place is a good three kilometers east-southeast of Wittenberge and one and a half kilometers east of the Elbe . He is surrounded by the FFH area Elbdeichvorland, the bird sanctuary Lower Elbe Valley, the nature reserve Wittenberge-Rühstädter Labe region, the Biosphere Reserve Riverine Landscape Elbe and the conservation area Brandenburg Elbe Valley.

The Berghöfe residential area, located five hundred meters east-northeast , belongs to the district . In the north the district borders on Wittenberge and Breese , in the east on Zwischenendeich , in the south on Schadebeuster and in the west on Garsedow with the associated residential area Wallhöfe .

history

The first written mention of the place took place in 1454, at that time in the spelling Lutkeheide .

In 1946 the place belonged to the district of Westprignitz in the newly founded state of Brandenburg and had 50 inhabitants. On July 25, 1952, the former community came to the newly created Perleberg district , became a district of Garsedow on June 20, 1957 and a district of the city of Wittenberge on October 20, 1971. On May 17, 1990, the previous district continued as the district of Perleberg and was merged on December 6, 1993 in what is now the district of Prignitz. In 2006 the place had 9 residents.
