On July 25, 1952, the former community came to the newly created Perleberg district and on October 20, 1971, became a district of the city of Wittenberge. From May 17, 1990 the previous district continued to exist as the district of Perleberg and on December 6, 1993 it became part of today's district of Prignitz. In 2006 the place had 32 inhabitants.
